The most recent Summer Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016; the next Summer Olympics will be held in Tokyo, Japan, in 2020. The next Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing, China, in 2022. There is currently no set schedule for the Summer and Winter Olympics beyond 2028. However, it is generally accepted that the Summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, United States, in 2028 and that the Winter Olympics will be held in Milano-Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, in 2026.
