The training and competition schedule for the USA Judo team is designed to ensure that our athletes are able to peak for the biggest events of the year. We believe that this schedule provides the perfect balance of training, competition, and recovery, and our athletes have had great success following it. We ask that all athletes on the team train full-time, which means 6 days a week, typically totaling around 30 hours. This allows our athletes to really focus on their judo and get the most out of their training. In addition to this Full-time training, we also require all athletes to participate in at least two competitions each year. These can be local, national, or international tournaments, but we believe that it is important for our athletes to get experience competing against the best judoka in the world.
